When Your House Is on the Market Is It Too Late for Staging?

The real estate market in Fort Wayne and the rest of northeast Indiana has been very slow this Fall and Winter-- so much so that the number of active realtors is dropping off. Any properties have been on the market since last summer or even last spring.

Aside from reducing the asking price for a house, is there anything else that a homeowner can do now to make his house sell faster at the current price? Is it too late to try professional staging like that seen on a number of programs on HGTV?

The answer is "yes", there is something you can do now. And "no", it's not too late. While it's most effective when you have your house staged before you list it, staging it now can have a dramatic positive impact your success.

My advice is to work with a professional real estate stager like Shows Beautifully Staging, LLC, and have us do a detailed consultation for you. We'll devote between one and a half and two hours going through your house with you begining at the curb and working our way through every room, including the garage. We will provide you with an evaluation of your house from the eyes of a prospective buyer. Serving as your own personal focus group, just as major companies employ when they are trying to market a new consumer product. [See our Specials for the month.]

We'll tell you right then what things you need to change in order to attract the greatest number of qualified buyers. And the next day we will give you a complete written report with suggestions--an Action Plan that you can begin working on right away.

Does this mean that you will have to spend a lot of money to make these changes? Not at all. We'll work within your budget-- both in terms on money and the time you have available for staging.

Once you have your Action Plan, you can decide if you have the resouces to make the changes yourself, or you may decide that you would like to engage Shows Beautifully Staging to do the work for you. Your option.
